To obtain the generally accepted result, the floor to be polished must be placed well, any areas of undulations or surface defects, float or screed marks etc will remain and occasionally enhanced, sometimes uneven levels will result in patches of exposed stone in the finish.

Heavy grind exposing all of the larger aggregates in the floor, we grout boost to fill the small aeration voids then polish up to clients desired sheen level, matte, semi-gloss or glossy finish. This heavy grind generally removes most surface imperfections and any rain damage from the floor placing, but care still needs to be taken to minimise aggregate disturbance cause by settlement of screeds or footprints.
